Through your API key.
The polish step runs through your account at OpenAI, Anthropic, or Groq. Your transcript goes from your machine to the provider you chose, then back.
Auris never sees it. The provider's privacy policy applies to that hop.
That's the short version. Auris stores no audio and no transcripts on our infrastructure, because we don't run any for those things.
Here's exactly how the architecture works.
Your microphone, your machine. Audio captured locally.
→Speech-to-text runs locally by default. Pick cloud STT and audio routes directly to Groq. Either way, never to us.
→Transcript goes to your API key (or your local model) for polish. Auris never sees it.
→Polished result pastes at your cursor.
No round trip through us.

The polish step runs locally through Ollama, LM Studio, or any compatible local server. Nothing leaves your computer.
No API calls. No network. Works on a plane.
All as files on your machine. Delete any of it whenever.
That's what we need to send you the license and let you know when there's a meaningful update. Unsubscribe any time with one click. Not shared with anyone.
No copy. No backup. No analytics.
Anything matching an email pattern.
Never saved to your transcript history.
US and international phone numbers. Lands in the app, never in history.
Social Security Numbers.
Used in the moment, not stored.
16-digit card numbers, all major schemes. Typed once, gone after.
Add your own patterns with regex for company-specific things: employee IDs, internal project codes, anything else you want kept out of saved transcripts.
Your license is yours, now and forever. There's no server-side check that can turn it off, because there is no server.
Anyone who buys Auris gets access to all future updates. No version cliffs, no upgrade fees.
The license is yours to keep, gift, or transfer. Sell it, hand it down, or recover it after a machine change. It's a license, not a leash.
No. We don't have audio or transcript data to sell, and the email we hold for licensing isn't shared.
In our customer database (Stripe for billing, a standard email provider for product updates).
Request deletion any time at hello@auris.talk.
The architecture makes most of GDPR easy. We don't process audio. We don't store transcripts. The data we do hold (email, license key) is subject to standard subject-access and deletion requests.
Email hello@auris.talk to request either.
Yes. Use the in-app History tab to view, edit, or delete entries.
No automatic crash reports. Internal diagnostics live in Settings → Diagnostics. Review them on your machine, send them to us manually if you'd like our help. Never sent without your action.
The how-it-works page walks through the loop and the polish controls. The pricing page covers the tiers.
